Newsreader: And now let’s hear about an amazing achievement. Joe Grant is an ultrarunner. He comes from Colorado and likes running, cycling and climbing. Yesterday he finished climbing all the mountains in Colorado that are above 4000 metres. He left his house on June 24th and cycled to each mountain and then climbed it. He climbed 57 different mountains in 29 days. Amazing! Sometimes he climbed two mountains on the same day! He didn’t take many clothes with him. For one month, he used two pairs of running shoes, one pair of shorts, a T-shirt, two pairs of socks and a rain jacket. He didn’t take a tent because it was too heavy so he camped outside every night. Sometimes it was sunny but it often rained and he was very cold when it snowed on the mountains. In the 29 days he ran, cycled and climbed but he also ate and drank a lot! He ate burgers, cookies, chocolate bars, and burritos. Not very healthy but full of calories and lots of energy!
