Man: Hello, Townhill College. Can I help you?
Woman: Hi, yes. I’d like some information about your photography classes, please.
Man: Well, photography is very popular so there are two courses. They both start on the 3rd of October and finish on the 10th of December.
Woman: OK. And what days of the week are the classes?
Man: Last term they were on Fridays, but this term they are on Wednesdays.
Woman: And how much do they cost?
Man: The morning course costs £50, and the evening course is a bit more expensive. It costs £75.
Woman: OK. And can I join the evening class over the phone?
Man: No, you have to come to the college and fill in a form. We’ll be closed in August but are open for the rest of July and will open again in September.
Woman: Are you open at weekends?
Man: No. We’re open Monday to Friday from 9.30 am to 12.45 pm and 5.30 pm to 9.00 pm.
Woman: Can you give me the address of the college, please? I’ll come and fill in the form next week.
Man: Yes, it’s in 59 Bracknell Street. That B-RA-C-K-N-E-L-L Street. Near the children’s playground, opposite the bank.
Woman: Will I need to buy any equipment for the class?
Man: I think you need your own camera, but the teacher will send you an email about the classes at the end of September.
Man: Woman: OK great. What’s the teacher’s name?
Man: It’s Bob. I don’t know his surname.
Woman: Thank you very much! I’ll come to the college one day next week to pay for the course then.

Woman: Hello, Medical Centre. How can I help you?
Man: Hi. Yes. My daughter has had an accident and I need some medical advice.
Woman: OK. Could you tell me what’s happened, please?
Man: We were on the beach and Katrina was jumping in the sea. She fell and has hurt her foot. It isn’t broken, but she can’t walk.
Woman: OK. Well, first, she should sit down on the floor and put her foot up on a chair. Then you should go to a chemist and buy a bandage.
Man: Right. At the moment, we’re still near Greenbank Beach. Could you tell me where the nearest chemist is? We don’t have a car.
Woman: Woman: There’s a big chemist in the city centre but if you are on the beach, the nearest chemist is in Park Street. There’s a bus stop nearby, or you can get a taxi there.
Man: OK. How much will a taxi cost?
Woman: About 13 euros.
Man: Great. Thank you for your help.
Woman: Your daughter should probably come and see a doctor here tomorrow morning. Would you like to make an appointment?
Man: Oh, yes. That’s a good idea.
Woman: Would you like to come at nine, or half past nine?.
Man: 9 o’clock is fine. What’s the doctor’s name?
Woman: OK. Tomorrow the 10th of May … at nine o’clock … with Doctor Moore. That’s M-O-O-R-E. Did you say your daughter’s name is Katrina?
Man: Yes. I’m afraid Katrina doesn’t speak a lot of English. Does the doctor speak any Spanish?
Woman: Yes. She lived in Mexico for ten years, so she speaks it quite well.
Man: That’s fantastic. We will buy a bandage now and come to the centre tomorrow.
Woman: OK. Katrina shouldn’t walk until tomorrow, if possible. If you need any more advice, call the hospital on 56 75 82. That’s 5-6 7-5 8-2.

Philip: Hello. I’d like to rent a boat in August please.
Woman: Yes, of course. I need to ask you some questions first. Is that OK?
Philip: Of course.
Woman: First of all, what’s your name?
Philip: Philip Cook.
Woman: Philip Cook … right … And what’s your date of birth, Philip?
Philip: It’s 1st December 1993.
Woman: That’s fine. You need to be over 21 to rent a sailing boat. And how many people will be staying on the boat?
Philip: There will be three of us. My brother Tom and I and our friend. We’re all over 21. Some other friends might come for the day but they won’t sleep on the boat. Is that OK?
Woman: That’s fine. And will there be any animals?
Philip: I don’t think Lee is going to bring his dog, I have two small dogs.
Woman: That’s no problem, but you have to pay extra for every pet. And when would you like to rent the boat?.
Philip: From the 23rd of August to the 31st of August. We wanted to rent it until the 3rd of September but your website says your office closes on the 1st of September!
Woman: Yes, that’s right, I’m afraid. And finally, can you give me your telephone number please?
